At Whitsuntide, parades by the brass band and the Bravade in Napoleonic period costume set the pace for village life. Torchlight processions, bridge lighting, balls and fireworks follow one another, while the funfair takes over the square.

For 5 days, Annot celebrates its patron saint with a host of traditional events.
From dawn, the parades of the brass band and the Bravade, dressed in Napoleonic costumes, set the pace for life in this village, classified as a “Village et Cité de Caractère”. The blasts of musket fire and cannon fire awaken those who dare to loiter in their beds, and balls punctuate the convivial spring evenings.
But Saint Fortunat is first and foremost a religious festival, with its masses and processions, including the one to Notre-Dame de Vers-la-Ville on Tuesday morning, which brings the festivities to a close, where it’s traditional to drink wine with tiles.
