In the heart of the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Region, come enjoy the tastes and flavors of our area!
The restaurateurs who signed the Pays Gourmand charter showcase local products at their establishments. They share the same approach: to highlight what our valleys have to offer from one season to the next.
Our chefs obtain their ingredients from local farmers and artisans, by growing their own gardens, and even by gathering plants in the wild. They will introduce you to the art of local cooking.
Look for the Pays Gourmand label in the following districts: Pays des Vallées d'Asses, Verdon, Vaïre, Var, Pays Serre-Ponçon, Ubaye Durance, and Pays Dignois.
The Pays Gourmand label
Restaurants in Pays Gourmand always offer at least one dish on the menu made primarily with local products. In the Verdon Valley, Annot, Barrême, and Entrevaux, restaurants offer 3 dishes (including one hearty meal or a set menu).
Meals made with local products vary from one season to another based on product availability.
These restaurants support local agriculture and highlight our culinary identity.
Pays Gourmand is one component in an overall approach to quality. Restaurateurs carefully monitor the quality of their establishments, both in terms of the food they serve and customer service.
